Process Control Training
 

Control Specialists Ltd have been providing PID Control Courses, Process Control Training Courses and bespoke Control System Training Courses for many years. Since January 2007, we have been providing these courses using ExperTune's PlantTriage and PID Loop Optimizer applications to allow students to gain a better understanding of Process Performance Improvement and PID Loop Optimisation respectively. 

Although classroom-based, the PID Control Courses and Process Control Training Courses are very practical, and as well as appealing to existing and/or prospective users of these products, the courses are also of benefit to those who have no intention of purchasing the software but want to improve their knowledge in this area of control engineering.

The ExperTune courses have been developed by us and are approved by ExperTune. We have regular scheduled training courses in the UK but can also deliver them on site around the world. Further information about the scheduled courses can be found on the "Training Courses" menu.
 

Course Feedback

We belive that good quality training is a crucial to a persons ability to perform designated tasks within an organisation and we want to be sure that this is done successfully. At the end of each course, we ask the students for their views on the course, its presentation and the instructors knowledge / ability to pass on information.  The table below provides a key to the questions where, in each case, the student is asked to provide a mark out of ten with 1 being low (or poor) and 10 being high (or very good).

The feedback is hand-written and signed on a course feedback form and kept at our offices as part of the evidence we need for our registration with BSI ISO9001:2008 TickIT. Original copies of the forms are available for viewing by prospective clients but they are summarised below to give you a flavour of the reputation we have built up around the provision of training. A unique way to train your personnel.
 
 

We can offer bespoke, CD-based, Control System training packages that do not require special software to run. The CD's are specific to your site applications and can be used to train your personnel in a wide range of computer-related tasks such as becoming familiar with the Scada interface to your control system, PLC uploading/downloading/fault finding and so on.

The benefits of this method of training are numerous. They include the ability of users to interact with the training package on their own PC's as though they were operating the application itself, Reduced retraining costs, removal of the need to send your personnel off site as well as being a useful refresher for existing users
